Absolutely. Holly has done many long distance weddings. Traveling interstate or overseas is not a problem subject to availability. Please note that flight, accommodation and meal allowances must be covered for. Please discuss with Holly directly

The purpose of a bridal trial is for you to meet your artist and discuss about the desired look of the hair and makeup and apply it to see how it will look on the big day. Adjustments will be made to tailor your preference and any details will be fine tuned to your final satisfaction. During the trial skin and hair condition will also be examined and patch test might be performed on individuals with known skin allergies. It is also a good way to test the longevity of the hair and makeup. At the end of the session, we will also take photos with natural light to show our brides how her look turns out in photos vs in person. As a result, we highly recommend a trial prior. You can rest assure the chosen look is nailed down and everything will be a breeze when time is of essence on the actual wedding day.
Trial is performed ideally in the artist’s studio but we also offer mobile service with a travel charge. Duration is maximum 3 hours and any additional hour is at $100/hour.
Ideally you will want to have a trial as close to the wedding as possible as your skin and hair condition will have little or close to no change leading up to your big day. However, we fully understand some of the brides would like to have a trial before committing in putting down a deposit to the wedding day booking. In this case you can arrange a trial immediately so you can make a decision soon enough. Afterall, it’s not uncommon some brides will have 2 trials before her wedding. One before booking the date and another one leading up to the big day.
We want to make sure you are fully comfortable with your decisions so trialling with us before or after booking is not a problem at all.
However, we are unable to hold dates even if you have booked a trial with us. It is the nature of our business that our appointment schedule changes on a daily basis. Due to the high volume of bookings, and to ensure fairness to all other clients, we work on a first come first serve policy. If your wedding date gets booked out and you have booked a trial with us, we will gladly refund the amount back to you if you haven't already had your trial. Trials that are already performed is strictly non-refundable.
Absolutely. Our brides will get the same artist from the trial on the wedding day. In extreme rare occasion when your original artist can’t attend due to sickness etc we will endeavour to find you a replacement artist from the team.
The most important thing is to bring inspirational images of hair and makeup that you like. This will help us visualise and understand the style in the best way. If you have any hair accessories, bridal veil or clip on extensions that you would like to use, please be sure to bring them to the trial. We also have sample accessories for our bride to try on at the Ermington studio. Please feel free to show us photos of your dress, Venue, bouquet or anything you think will influence the look.
All the products are first tested on ourselves before approving in our kit. However due to the fact that each individual will react to products differently there could be unexpected times where our clients might be allergic to certain products or ingredients. This is another reason why a trial is essential. Alternatively we are more than happy to use your products that you know for sure are compatible with your skin.
On a normal day your makeup and hair will last the whole day except the lips will need to be reapplied every few hours due to eating and drinking. However on days with extreme weather condition e.g hot summer, windy outdoor etc it might be a good idea to book one of our touch up sessions to refresh your look. Or you simply want to change multiple looks to suit different important stages of your big day. E.g. vintage look for Chinese tea ceremony then change into boho look for your beach wedding etc
We offer 2 types for touch up session and we recommend these options to be discussed at the trial:
Once off touch up (1hour)
This is particularly suitable for touching up before or during the reception. Artist finish first session, go away and come back at later time for an once-off touch up session. Session time is maximum 1 hour. During this time any hair and makeup touch up/changes are performed for the bride. Holly is also happy to touch up the whole group who in on the original booking within the session. Any additional hours are charged at $100/ hour.
Onstite touch up (multiple hours)
If you have a few events where you wish to have hair and makeup refreshed or change, having Holly to follow you through out those events would be suitable. Onsite Touch up session is calculated in hourly rate and start from finish time of first session till finish time of last session. During those hours Holly can perform unlimited touch ups to the Bride and all bridal parties and changes of hair and makeup to the Bride only. Please see T&C for more information
As a rough guideline, we normally allocate 2 hours for the bride and 1.5 hours per person (hair and makeup) for everyone else. After the trial Holly will be able to provide a more accurate time estimate. Please be sure to communicate this time estimate to your bridal party. It’s recommended everyone adhere to their allocated time strictly to avoid last minute rush or stress on the day
2 normal height chair (one for the client and one for the artist so both will sit face to face to each other) or one high chair/bar stool (for client to sit whilst the artist will stand)
normal table with decent size. A dining table or similar is ideal. Please avoid Coffee table as they are too low and usually too small for the artist to reach out for.
Source of natural light is highly preferred (e.g. windows with natural daylight) If not possible please use artificial white light.
1 normal height chair that has a low or no back rest is preferable.
A decent sized table with normal height. (can be the same makeup table)
Proximity to a power point for hair appliance.
A large mirror for both the client and the stylist to see the front of the hair (Please note that due to hygiene reason we can not perform our work in the bathroom or toilet)
Please provide multiple sets of above setup depends on the number of stylists onboard. If you find it challenging providing any aspect of the above set-up please let Holly know in advance so she may bring along her set up where possible.
Please note that as much as we would love to hear from you via phone calls, Instagram and facebook messages, due to our job nature as constantly on gig or on the go, we've made your booking process with us as easy as possible by doing so online. Simply fill in the (enquiry form) and submit to us. We will endeavour to get in touch within 24 hours on weekdays. After enquiring and receiving a quote, please pay the 50% of the total quote (or $50 for trial) as a retainer fee to secure the booking, and to lock in the prices (to avoid price increases). This fee goes towards your payment and is non-refundable. Please see T&C for more information.
We are very sorry that you will need to cancel the wedding due to various unfortunate reasons. However because we start to turn down jobs and lose other income for the commitment of your booking, the 50% deposit and any balance you have paid to us is strictly non-refundable. Please see T&C for more information.
